The trustees have been discussing the usage of plot of land which is currently used for grazing for the benefit of the whole community.
One proposed change is to split the field into two - with a fence above the pond so that :
more trees can be planted on the bottom half without grazing pressure
the pond can perhaps be deepened / englarged without the risk of sheep getting stuck
improved path to the pond
boardwalk area beside the pond (for example to make pond dipping safer for children)
We will of course consult fully on this before making any changes.
